Carrick Glen Senior Living

We were most concerned about the facilities and staffing when reviewing possible assisted living memory sites. Carrick Glen has demonstrated to be very safe, very well maintained and clean. The staffing is consistent and all, from the CNAs, Activities, Nursing, and leadership, show a level of true compassion and competence when associating with the residents.

Initially, our family thought this facility's memory care unit would be the ideal place for our family member with dementia. During her time there, we met some dedicated wonderful staff. We also observed inadequately staffed units and inexperienced staff that put patients at risk of falls and neglect. Unfortunately, these things led to an unsupervised fall and delay of care of my family member which ultimately resulted in her death. I would strongly advise against putting your family member in this facility unless they can assure you their staffing ratios, training, and procedures have greatly improved.

Carrick Glen took excellent care of our dad on the memory care side all the way to his final days. Angela and her team were always so caring and made us feel like family.
