Caring Companions is just the right size. It's so much better than the large high-rise assisted living facility we tried before this. The house is always clean and the meals are home cooked. Sunita or Surita are always responsive by telephone for any needs that may arise.

Our Initial plan was to keep my mother Mrs Marshall at Caring Companion for four months, but since the facility is clean and spacious my mother who is 98 yrs old decided to stay there longer. The owner Sunita is very professional and courteous. The staff are friendly and very caring to the residence living there. We are very pleased with Caring Companions outstanding service. We appreciate all the care , love and respect given to my mother.

We spend the first half of our lives being cared for by our parents in one form or another, but the second half often requires us to reciprocate that care. Finding outside care can be a daunting task, but the staff at Caring Companions provide amazing support and care during this sometimes difficult time of transition. The care that my mother is receiving from Caring Companions is amazing. The house is warm, clean, and inviting and the food provided nourishes both the body and mind. In addition, the owner keeps in contact with the families and the staff is conscientious and caring. I highly recommend Caring Companions if you are looking for top rate elder care.

Our Father recently became very ill after living in Florida for the last 20 years, so we decided to move him back up to Maryland, where he could be closer to family. The round the clock care he required would be quite arduous, so we spent a considerable amount of time researching and visiting care homes in the area. We settled on Caring Companions after meeting Sunita, viewing the personable set-up of the home, and liking the accessible location of the quiet Silver Spring neighborhood. Upon arrival my Father could barely stand up, let alone walk or do any of the basic tasks he could do before he became ill. Sunita, Ms. Penny and the rest of the CC staff spent months patiently accommodating my Dad’s unique medical, dietary and physical requirements which helped rehabilitate him back to the point where he is now able to care for himself again.

My Experience with my mother at Himalayan Elderly Care part of Caring Companions Inc My mother was a resident at the Himalayan from June 1919- February 10, 2024. I choose this facility because (1) It had a good reputation, (2) There was no odor (3) My mom was able to have a single room, (4) The facility was 10 minutes away from my home and (5) My mother liked the facility and (6) The owners were nice and interested in my mother During her stay, the caregivers seem nice. During COVID, one caregiver was extremely caring and tried to keep the residents mobile, clean, hydrated, and stimulated. The owners never denied the concerns of the family and if there was a problem with the caregiver, the issues were resolved very quickly. My mom liked Sarita RN, one of the owners. Sarita could make my mom do things that the family could not make her do especially when my mom started deteriorating. During my mom hospice experience, I appreciated the daily support I received. When I could not come to see my mom, Sarita was there every day and giving me update. She made special food to encourage my mother to eat. The owner made sure her staff turned my mom every two hours. My mother never had an odor and they kept her very comfortable. I am so glad that I choose Himalyan Elderly Care and would always think fondly for the care they gave my mother. Vivian Omagbemi
