I am upset as all hell, your telling people that Borderline personality disorder is not treatable , that is a lie I am someone who knows its treatable because I have it , if you find the correct medication and the correct Psychiatrist they will also tell you it's treatable , I may have to take a pill everyday to be better but I am proof that BPD is something you can take medication for . STOP misleading people into not going to A Licensed psychiatrist and getting medication help . Your brain washing people , people Who need to be on psychiatric meds and then you are releasing them into the world allowing them to refuse medication help because you tell them it's untreatable .

If you're not white, DO NOT GO HERE!!! Truly the most racist people I have ever encountered. On my first day there I had an allergic reaction which required me to go to the hospital. They refused to let me contact my family or let me use my cell phone to contact them. They treated me like a criminal from the moment I walked in. They didn't care for my diet or food restrictions, nor did they have any respect for my prayer times. They would not let me get my PRESCRIBED medication and when I demanded for my meds, they cussed me out, called the police and had me trespassed. Police dropped me off at a Kwik Trip gas station close to 1:00 a.m. without my phone (supposedly phones are locked on weekends). The most traumatizing experience I've ever had. After all that they violated Hipaa and had the audacity to lie about the reason why I got kicked out. The worst humans I have ever encountered, I don't wish this place on my worst enemy. If you care about your recovery this is definitely not the place for you! I have never been so disrespected, humiliated, frightened and disgusted! NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN!!!!

If you are looking to be the best version of yourself, you have found it!!! Burkwood is a Tony Robins style boot camp. This centered based program is a master class on recovery, in my opinion, it's the one place you can really start over and begin the change so desperately needed for the road to recovery!!! The staff at Burkwood is second to none. The RA's and nurse's understand you and are amazing people!!! The cooks created fantastic food (Michelin Star grade) three squares and dessert!!! Also snacks on deck😉 The counselors are fantastic and each has a unique experience which gives better perspective on your journey! You can really emerse yourself in the program if you keep an open mind, don't get in your own way, and mind your bobber. With the community, you will feel like family, not only with the clients but the staff as well! People really care here and you will feel it! The comrodary you may not have known you needed is here and helps you become healthy, not only for yourself but in relationships and life over all. The best version of yourself is waiting to be realized!! Everyone I know has congratulated my achievements since graduating this program. I have no regrets and a much clearer pathway to my goals in recovery. After here, life really begins!
