My Father lived and was cared for at Brookings Senior Living from December 2016 until his passing in July 2017. He received great medical, care, was well fed with home cooked meals, enjoyed a family environment and was comforted by Lanae at the time of his passing. Their facility is clean, safe and well equipped. Those who live there become part of their Family including two great children and a family dog. Their rates never went up even though his care needs did. This was a promise they made at the beginning and they were true to their word. Dad was 98 years old when he passed and by far, this was the best place for him. We are so grateful to the Brooks for letting him be part of their Family.

This is a very nice home for my mother in law. We feel good about her living here. They are very caring and focused on their clients.

I am A resident at Brookings senior Living. Last September of 2018 I fell down in my home and was severely injured. Since then I have been bed bound. I try not to be a burden, but I need A lot of help! I have been Living at Brookings senior Living since January 1st 2019. I moved here from another local facility that makes Brookings look like A 5 star hotel! Before I moved to Brookings I didn't care whether I lived or died..... now that I am living at Brookings I feel like I have something to live for!

My mother, Joyce, lived comfortably at Brookings Senior Living for eighteen months until her passing in September 2018. Previously my husband and I shared a household with my mom for several years prior to her stroke in February 2017. My husband and I knew we could not give her the care she needed at our home after her stroke. We were lucky enough to find Brent and Lanae, owners of Brookings. We have never regretted having mom live there. The love, care and compassion was present from the moment we walked in the door. Lanae and Brent, along with their adorable and sweet children, Levi and Lydia made my mom feel like part of their family. Upon arriving, Levi would often take me by the hand and lead me to my mom. Talk about a welcoming! Lydia is a snugglebug that would join us by mom's chair. The children are one of the many reasons we chose Brookings Senior Living. My mom loved young children and watched their antics and entertaining behavior with a smile on her face. Both children were very respectful of each residents personal space. Lanae and Brent hired the best caregivers and expected them to meet the needs of all the residents in a respectful manner. The meals were well planned, and the desserts, oh the desserts, were out of this world! My mom truly had a sweet tooth and was always looking forward to finishing her meal and enjoying whatever dessert was made for the evening meal. Lanae and Brent made the holidays special by decorating their beautiful house for Christmas and buying small personalized gifts for each of the residents. They provided a Thanksgiving feast and invited the residents families to join them. Socially, my mom often had the best seat in the house to see the comings and goings of other family members, friends and other professional health care personnel. Each resident at Brookings was treated as an individual with different likes and dislikes and was respected for their differences. As my mother's health declined, special care was given always with patience, compassion and professionalism. I know my mother was well taken care of as witnessed by my husband and I and all of my siblings that lived out of state that came to visit as often as they could. I have no reservations recommending Brookings Senior Living to any family that is looking for a professional, warm, loving, and family atmosphere for their loved one. Sincerely, Sandy Erickson

My mother has been at this lovely residential care home since May 2018. I have found it to be a huge blessing to me and my family as the atmosphere that Lanae and Brent (owners that live on the premises)have created is a loving caring and safe environment. My mom loves it there because Lanae and Brent give her good care. The home is always clean, orderly and much of their cooking is homemade and the residents all eat together. I was very fortunate to find this fine home to care for my mom. I sleep better now knowing she is in good hands. God blessed me with this home!
