Wonderful staff starting from the head Elizabeth Newton,RN is a fantastic administrator with an extensive background in Nursing and Administration. Alone side her is a dynamic Health and Wellness Director Juanita York,RN. The staff is very friendly and caring I would definitely recommend this community in the event your loved one needed assistant living care.

Never answer the phone. They provide extensions and all the voicemails are full. The first selection is SALES AND MARKETING, their #1 concern! They abuse and lie. Not all but many. Who knows if they are taking medicine. They don’t bathe the people. The food is horrific. All they care about is their net profits. If they’d pay the front liners some halfway decent money it would be different. I’m going to be moving back to HighPoint and I will be in there almost everyday. We plan to install cameras in the room as well. It will be worth it to track and document and film what’s going on.

Our family is extremely grateful for the authentic concern and professional help that Brookdale gave our family. They assisted us in thinking through the possible options of care even it did not include our mother becoming a resident at Brookdale. Though we looked at other communities they continued to follow up with us and offered to help us with any questions that we had.

This is run by a corporation so it’s all about the money. They charge $250 late fee, additional charge of $100 for administering a pill, helping patient get dressed, give a cup of water, the list of additional charges goes on and on. The extra charge is per task! We were caught off guard because his mother was admitted to hospital and had to go into a facility upon discharge. The social worker is in cahoots with Brookdale. We know this because she met my husband at the hospital and one of the first questions she asked was “Does your mother have money?” He started out paying $5,500 per month. After 3 years the monthly charge was $7,800! That charge could not be justified. Staff turnover is very high. They change directors on a monthly basis. My husband had to pay $3,400 in additional charges before they would allow him to move his mother to another facility. The only reason he didn’t move her sooner is because a lot of places had negative reviews as well. I finally found Wellington. They have three facilities. Boookdale will bleed your relative dry! I would avoid this place at all costs. I tried to give no stars but that wasn’t possible!
