The team work that I witnessed today, you don’t see often in facilities anymore. I was there working with a patient when you could tell there was a situation going on. It wasn’t pushed off on to others. Every team member from management to caregivers were hands on to keep the atmosphere calm and peaceful.

My siblings and I are really glad that we found Brookdale Briargate for dad. The environment is friendly and activities suit his needs. I've always felt welcomed as well.

I have had the opportunity to be in and out of several memory care facilities in our community. At Brookdale Briargate it has been very impressive to see the Administrator Cheryl not only leading the community staff members and helping family members but she also on numerous occasions is sitting with a resident that needs to have some extra time to tell a story, redirecting or brining a snack to a different resident, or even gathering people to listen to music or sing. She really leads by example and is very involved in her community! So wonderful to see the connection she has with her residents, staff and family members.

I am so impressed with the staff. They are taking such good care of our Mom, and really going the extra mile to communicate with family and help all of us as Mom's disease progresses. The staff has earned our trust many times over in the three months that Mom has lived there. All of us in her family feel grateful for the care Mom is getting at Brookdale Briargate.

It is interesting to read about the common experiences that we share with folks who must place a loved one in a care facility. My mother-in-law has had dementia for the past few years, and after the recent passing of my father-in-law, she is now in our care. We gave a great deal of thought about the kind of care we wanted Mom to have and toured several different memory care providers. We finally arrived at Brookdale Briargate and realized that we'd found the perfect place. The facility had a welcoming feel from the front door. We were given a tour, and several staff members presented the specifics of the services they provide. Besides meeting all Mom’s basic needs, there is a focus on engagement that is designed to keep the residents active and involved. The calendar is full of activities that are wide and varied. The apartments are cute and just the right size. Everything looks well maintained. Every single person that we met (staff and resident alike) were happy and friendly. My wife and I haven’t seen Mom this happy in a long time. She was very excited, and so are we. We look forward to working with the staff to do the very best for Mom.
