From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re greeted with a warm, welcoming atmosphere that feels far more like a home than a facility. The building is very well maintained, clean, and comforting. What truly stands out is the staff. They are consistently compassionate, attentive, and genuinely invested in the well-being of every resident. It’s clear they take the time to get to know each person individually—their preferences, routines, and personalities—which creates a level of care that feels both professional and deeply personal. Families are kept informed, questions are answered promptly, and there’s a real sense of trust and partnership. The activities and engagement opportunities are another highlight. There is always something going on—games, exercise, trivia, music, crafts, and seasonal celebrations—that keeps residents active and connected. The dining experience is also wonderful, with well-prepared meals home-cooked meals, good variety, and a pleasant atmosphere. When my father was hospitalized and later moved to a rehab facility, the owner personally took the time to visit him. That meant more to our family than words can express. Her visit lifted his spirits and reminded him that he was part of a community that truly cared about him. In a time that was stressful and uncertain for all of us, that gesture brought an incredible amount of comfort. Even more touching was that other members of the Broad Creek Manor staff also came to see him while he was away. They didn’t have to do that—it’s not something you expect from an assisted living facility—but they did it because they genuinely care about their residents as people, not just as clients. My father lit up when they walked in, and it motivated him to work harder in rehab to get back to Broad Creek Manor because he knew he was returning to a place where he was valued and loved. Knowing that my father is in a place where people show up for him—even when he’s not physically there—gives us tremendous peace of mind. Broad Creek Manor isn’t just providing care; they are providing heart, and that makes all the difference. I cannot recommend them Broad Creek Manor highly enough!

Broad Creek Manor is an amazing facility and such a caring staff and ownership! The care and passion the owners (Melissa and Scott) put into their assisted living is what anyone would want for their family member. It is exceptionally clean and the property and views are wonderful! They don’t just focus on the care of their residents, but also strive for their independence. Thanksgiving is upon us and as I reflect on the past year, I take a moment to reflect on experiences that make me grateful. Grateful in the sense that I knew both my mother-in-law and my mother were in caring competent hands. They were loved and appreciated for who they are. Independence is cultivated and encouraged at Broad Creek Manor. Activities abound for those who choose to participate. I interviewed several assisted living facilities within Harford County, and I always knew when the time arose for family care, I wanted my loved one to live at Broad Creek Manor. I encourage anyone whose family member may need assistance to tour and experience the Broad Creek Manor way of living.

Broad Creek Manor is situated rurally with lots of quiet and nature. It is more like a large residential house than an institution. The staff are amazing. They really care for and respect all the residents. And we were always warmly welcomed during our visits, including at the very end, when we were there day and night. I am forever grateful that my mom could spend the final years of her life at such a wonderful place. It gave me great peace of mind.
