Brightview Dulles Corner is an outstanding senior living community with an impressive range of amenities and services. The modern and up to date environment is eye catching and contributes to the welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Literally all levels of management and staff genuinely care about the residents and continually go above and beyond expectations to make everyone feel they are among family and friends. Also very noticeable is how attentive and effective the maintenance and housekeeping staff has been in ensuring the overall building and apartments maintain their new, clean and vibrant look. A major element contributing to the quality of life is the culinary and dining services team. They are without a doubt the best. In addition to providing a dining room environment that resembles a high end restaurant they offer a varied menu with many choices that include gluten free, vegetarian and healthy daily specials. Residents also enjoy the flexibility of choosing dining times or selecting a meal to go for either pick up or delivery. While numerous activities, outings and function’s are offered daily a clear favorite is the always well attended complimentary Happy Hour where beer, wine and other beverages are offered and provides an inviting “Pub” atmosphere to socialize with fellow residents and guests. Brightview Dulles Corner should not be missed in your search for an exceptional senior living community.

Disappointing management response to a serious security issue Three days after my mother’s passing, while her family still had full legal possession of her apartment, someone entered using a master key without our permission. My mother’s belongings had been moved and sorted through. A set of keys with an employee's nametag was left behind in the apartment, which I photographed. We also noticed that specific jewelry items were missing. When I brought this evidence to Brightview leadership, their response was dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of investigating the unauthorized entry or the left-behind keys, they questioned my account because I did not have "before" photos of the apartment. This heartless handling of a secure space during our time of grief was deeply traumatic for my family. Based on my experience, management did not take this security breach seriously, and I advise families to be extremely cautious regarding the security of their loved ones' units.

There are times in life when you have to make one of the hardest decisions you'll ever face—finding a place where someone you love will spend the final chapter of their life. Our family was blessed to find Brightview Dulles Corner. The building is beautiful, the food is excellent, and the activities are wonderful, but what truly makes Brightview exceptional is its people. Every member of the team—from the nurses and caregivers to housekeeping, dining, activities, reception, maintenance, and leadership—treated our mother, Marilyn, with genuine kindness, dignity, and love. They didn't simply care for a resident; they took the time to know her as a person. She was never just another room number or another task to complete. She was Marilyn. What impressed us most was that this wasn't the kindness of one special caregiver—it was the culture of the entire community. Everyone shared the same commitment to treating residents as individuals, understanding that each person has their own story, personality, and needs. That kind of culture starts with great leadership and extends throughout the entire staff. The greatest gift Brightview gave our family was peace of mind. Every time we left after a visit, we knew our mother remained surrounded by people who genuinely cared about her. That kind of trust is priceless. Even after our mother passed away, several members of the Brightview family attended her Celebration of Life. They didn't come because they had to—they came because they truly cared about Marilyn and about our family. That simple act of kindness spoke volumes about the people who work there. Our mother spent her life caring for others. Seeing that same compassion returned to her during the final chapter of her life is something we will always treasure. If you are looking for a senior living community where your loved one will be known, respected, and cared for as an individual—not just another resident—I can recommend Brightview Dulles Corner without hesitation. My mom ( 84 ) moved to Brightview a few months ago. We visited every assisted living in the region before we decided on Brightview. Fortunately, they had an efficiency available so my mom could move in quickly. My mom went from being completely independent to needing assisted living for medication management. The staff is very caring and responsive and goes overboard to help remind my mom of activities and events so she doesn't miss them. My mom has such a marked improvement in her quality of life. The meals are restaurant quality and there are lots of outings, lectures . movies with popcorn every day, daily happy hour ( that includes wine if desired!) and events to keep her entertained and busy throughout the day. There are also more books than you can imagine , magazines, and newspapers, so she can keep up on what is going on in the world. She has made a lot of wonderful friends and is thankful we found such a beautiful community for her to live in. Brightview is very much like a five star hotel for residents, it does not give off an "old folks home" feel.
