If I could have given a stronger recommendation than five stars, I would have done so. The girls working in memory care have been wonderful to my wife. They are outstanding workers doing a very difficult job and I am very grateful to each and every one of them.

Found our father covered in feces. His chair covered in feces. Shelbie and Chris (not maintenance) have had so many opportunities to correct the issues of the memory care unit but ignore the care orders, treat family members horribly and flat out do not care. We are now going to take our issues to attorneys, social services and the police. If my mother and my wife are doing all the care and cleaning, then they should be reimbursed by this disgusting facility. I hate this! I’m not the sueing type but we are left with no choices. I implore anyone considering this place to look elsewhere.

The absolute worst place you could put a family member. They do not care about your family; they will ignore your loved ones covered in feces, not follow medical orders and not help family members when they need to be cleaned up. Please do not put a family member here if you care about them at all. Shelby and Chris (director and person in charge of memory care) are so unprofessional and condescending in their actions.
Response from the owner
Tabyre, we're very sorry to hear about your experience. Our residents and their wellbeing are absolutely our priority, and we never want a staff member to ignore a resident, much less leave them in the condition you're describing. We want to get this resolved ASAP! Please reach out to us at help@livebsl.com so we can assist! Thank you.

My brother started in assisted living with medical care and then moved to their memory care. Do not take your family to the memory care unit at Bonaventure. They DO NOT know or are they trained to take care of dementia and Alzheimer’s patients. The smallest problem they will send their patients to the hospital. My brother was sent to the hospital. He was in hospital an entire month. They however still charged him FULL price. Supposedly because they were “holding his room and belongings “. Even though there were up to 12 rooms empty in that unit. Thousand’s of dollars charged to him and yet wasn’t even there! We have moved him out of this facility. To many other problems to mention about Bonaventure. Stay away. I have made complaints with the Unbudsman of Pueblo County and the state of Colorado. They did absolutely nothing. Be aware of what you are signing up for. Again stay away, don’t let the nice building and facilities fool you!
