Update; Bloom continues to characterize this as a simple billing dispute, but the real issue is the complete lack of communication and transparency. We provided the required 30-day written notice, removed all of my mother's belongings from the room, and received approval from the facility. Section H of the residency agreement states that following termination of the agreement, the community shall provide a refund of any unused prorated portion of the resident's final monthly fee, less any applicable deductions. If Bloom believes a refund is not owed, then explain why. Point to the specific provision in the contract and have a direct conversation with us. Instead, our calls and emails have gone unanswered while the facility finds time to respond publicly to online reviews. This is not an attack on Bloom's reputation. It is an attempt to obtain answers regarding a contract and money that may be owed. Had Bloom communicated directly and professionally, this matter could have been resolved privately. Instead they respond with silence followed by public relations responses. Also what is most concerning about Bloom Senior Living is not just the issues that have been raised, but the fact that they are actively refusing to communicate with me about them. Despite multiple attempts to contact management through phone calls and emails, I have received no meaningful response. Yet somehow, they were able to quickly respond to my public review. That raises a serious question: if Bloom has the time and ability to respond publicly to protect its reputation, why can't it make a simple phone call or answer an email to address legitimate concerns directly? Their public response claims professionalism, compassion, and a commitment to residents and families, but those claims are difficult to believe when they refuse to engage in private communication regarding serious matters. Communication and accountability should not disappear the moment concerns are raised. Frankly, it is alarming that a facility entrusted with the care of vulnerable seniors appears more focused on responding to online criticism than addressing the concerns of a resident's family member. Families deserve honesty, transparency, and direct communication—not public relations statements designed to make problems appear resolved when no effort has been made to actually discuss them. Bloom can continue posting responses about how much they care, but until they are willing to answer calls, return emails, and address concerns directly, those words carry very little weight.

Response from the owner

We have made good-faith efforts to address these concerns directly and remain committed to resolving any outstanding billing matters through the appropriate private channels. A final accounting and written response are being prepared and will be provided directly. Because this matter is the subject of ongoing correspondence, we do not believe it is appropriate to continue discussing it through online reviews. While we respect everyone's right to share their views, repeated public posts from a variety of different accounts are not a productive substitute for the resolution process. Our focus remains on addressing this matter through the appropriate channels, and we do not intend to engage in further public exchanges.

I recently pulled my mother out of this facility on June 17th and spoke to Scott before and after the move out process. A 30 day move out notice was also sent to Scott and acknowledged. When I got there, the room was cleaned out of everything that their maintenance man, Billy, told me needed to be removed. After the room was clean, I had Scott, the executive director of the facility, come take a look at the room to make sure that it was up to standard and good to go; he agreed and said everything looked good. After that, we sat down in his office and talked about the pro-rated rent and care level, in which he showed the piece of paper below and pointed out the highlighted section. Upon reading, I agreed that it did say that the rent and care level was paid for the month and no refunds were due initially BUT after FURTHER READING down the page, there is a SECTION H that talks about refunds for unused pro rata portion of Resident's Combined Monthly fee minus damages, etc. I have tried to contact Scott multiple times through email and phone calls and have received NO CORRESPONDENCE WHATSOEVER to even DISCUSS the pro-rated rent that is due to back to my family and I. So much so, that now I am forced to look into taking legal action against this facility for what I believe to be a BREACH OF THEIR CONTRACT that THEY ARE NOT ACKNOWLEDGING! I would be highly cautious of putting your loved ones in this facility, as initially the warm, welcoming process goes well but in the event that you have to pull them out, that's when things take a sudden turn. P.S. The next day at the airport, Scott and Billy call me, saying that some of the items removed were THEIRS, which is ABSURD AND INCORRECT, as my sister furnished that whole apartment, minus a desk that my mother used as a tv stand, which was left in the room when Scott did the final walkthrough. Considering that Scott, the EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, walked through the room the day prior with me after it was cleaned out and said that we were all good to go and nothing further needed to be done, but yet calls me the next day to tell me that items were removed that weren't supposed to be just further strengthens my belief in their incompetence and trust worthiness. Unfortunately, no papers were written out and signed in regard to the room clean out and other things, so it's Scott's word against mine. With that being said, I would've loved to been able to talk to them about this but NO ONE will call me back, answer emails, etc. In closing, you can form your own opinions, but why would I waste my time and effort writing such a long, drawn-out review if things had gone properly and without issue? Just do yourself a favor and get everything in WRITING versus taking people's words for things, as this is a first-hand experience of WHY that MUST BE DONE! I'm not contesting their staff and nursing department but rather the upper management and director of the facility regarding knowledge about their own contracts, along with their complete lack of communication and follow up.

Response from the owner

Mr. Moore, This appears to be your second post, with the first one deleted after our response. We remain disappointed that this contractual billing dispute has now been presented as a public attack on our community and team. Your written notice expressly provided a 30-day notice of termination, which Bloom accepted and relied upon in administering your mother's move-out. Consistent with the Residency Agreement and the notice you provided, Bloom determined that no refund or credit was due. We disagree with your interpretation of the Agreement, and because this matter is now disputed, it is not appropriate to litigate competing contract interpretations in a public forum. We also disagree with your characterization of the move-out process. As previously communicated, community-owned property was identified as missing after the move-out and has not been returned despite our requests. Bloom expressly reserves all rights with respect to that property. Most importantly, during your mother's residency, no concerns of her care our our service were raised with management. In fact, your written notice of withdrawal thanked our team "for the care and support provided during my mother's stay." Bloom at Eagle Creek has proudly served Indianapolis families for more than 15 years and has maintained exceptionally high occupancy and resident satisfaction, with a waiting list for many years. We remain proud of our caregivers and management team and encourage anyone considering our community to visit, speak with current residents and families, and form their own conclusions. Thank you, Bloom Senior Living Management

I moved my father into this facility and have regretted it ever since. I won't go into much detail since he's still there but the staff dont seem qualified to be working with the eldery. After reading that other comment about refunds and missing items I will be looking to remove my father as my suspicions have grown.

Response from the owner

Dear Lacey, we have no record of you or your family member at our community and noticed this was posted at the same time as Mr. Moore, which we responded to above. If this isn't a coordinated campaign, please contact our community to discuss. Thanks, Bloom
