Belmont Village Sunnyvale

My step-father went into Belmont Village after my mother died. He was exceptionally well-taken care of. Over the years, as he declined, the staff worked closely with me to step up his care while doing everything possible to maintain his autonomy and dignity. There were many things he enjoyed, his friends, outings and activities. At the end, as it was clear he was passing, at least 20 of the staff people came to his room to say goodbye. It was deeply moving, and made me deeply appreciate the care and compassion the staff holds for their residents. As one of the leaders said "you don't work at a place like this just because you need a job." He could not have been more right.

My mother spent her final 3 years at Belmont Sunnyvale. She was active, made friends and was well taken care of. I only lived about 3 miles away and visited 3-5 times per week. Eating excellent meals, playing bridge and bingo, and listening to lectures. She loved her outings, even if just going to the doctor. For most of her time there she was happy and recovered well, from an over medicated incident that almost killed her (at a different facility). I would recommend this facility to anyone that asks. My mother lived to the ripe old age of 97 1/2 years.

Our family entrusted Belmont Village Sunnyvale with the care of my father-in-law during the final chapter of his life, and we will be forever grateful for the compassion, dignity, and support they provided. Over the past year, his needs changed significantly, from assisted living to memory care and ultimately hospice. Through every stage, the staff treated him with kindness, patience, and respect. They cared not only for him, but for our entire family during an incredibly difficult time. The memory care and hospice teams were extraordinary. Even during moments of confusion, fear, and decline, they met him with compassion and professionalism. It was clear that this was more than a job to them—they truly cared. What stood out most was the sense of family. We never felt alone in the decisions we had to make, and the staff consistently communicated with honesty, empathy, and genuine concern for his well-being. Because of their care, my husband was able to spend meaningful time with his father and say goodbye before he passed peacefully. That gift is something we will always cherish. We cannot thank Belmont Village Sunnyvale enough for helping our family navigate one of life's most difficult journeys. We highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring, compassionate community for a loved one.

I can't speak highly enough of the staff at Belmont Village, where my best friend of forty years resides. The nursing section is remarkably efficient and calls for assistance are generally answered within minutes, even in the early hours of the morning. My friend who is in danger of falling is cared for and monitored closely. Meals are prepared by professional chefs and are, without exaggeration, of restaurant quality. The community is scrupulously maintained and its apartments are roomy, comfortable and attractive. Most of all, the staff is helpful, reliable, and professional in all respects. We additionally enjoy the impressive outdoor garden with landscaped plantings and a long path ideal for wheelchair users or those capable of walking with minimal assistance. Residents who've lived in other senior communities praise Belmont as superior and enjoy living in the community. Its high rating is well deserved.

Belmont has been a nice, pleasant home for out aged mother/mother in law. Staff are friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and the premises are very clean.
