Belmont Village Encino

I absolutely adore Belmont Village Encino. Without exception, everyone from top level management to all direct service providers, we have had an Impeccable experience with care for our mother.

I’d give them all negatives if I could! What a scam this place is! Don’t let the price and the cosmetics of it fool you! My dad lived at Belmont Encino for a little over 2 years. He had a minor infection in his leg that was treated with NARCOTICS (rather than antibiotics) and nearly died from an overdose because of it. Had I not come in to visit that Sunday he would have died from an overdose, and no one would have done anything to save him! Instead it was finger pointing as to who’s to blame, rather than getting him immediate assistance!. After I called 911 due to him being unconscious (Belmont discouraged me to call and the nurses just stared at me, instead of doing something, ANYTHING) they had to administer Narcan to bring him back from an overdose! Once at the hospital we found out he was septic, had pneumonia and his kidneys were about to shut down! We thought they were caring for and protecting him at Belmont, but the truth is….He was left alone MOST OF THE DAY (we had to call daily and remind them to take him to the cafe for his meals). He lost over 55 lbs in less than 2 years), he deteriorated physically and emotionally due to extreme negligence of the staff and Doctors. My dad had to be admitted to the hospital and fought for his life for 10 days because Belmont simply did not care! He is now in amazing HOME with even better care (the patient to staff ratio is 2:1). Because of Belmonts EXTREME negligence we don’t know if he will ever recover from this ordeal, but I’m grateful I got there when I did so that I and the paramedics were able to save his life. PLEASE TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY! The facility that my dad is at now has 3 other patients that were also transferred from Belmont Encino with in the same week due to there horrific experience with Belmont staff and doctors as well. If that doesn’t tell you something I don’t know what will. Belmont cares about your money and that’s all!

We have been very happy at Belmont Encino. My father has been there a number of years and considers this his home. He is treated well, listen to and valued. This is so important... My father is very social and is always involved in the events at Belmont. He has been very lucky to find this place and although there are ups and downs and sometimes issues that creep up, most of the time they are minimal and taken care of very quickly. The staff is very much a family and we’ve been very lucky to find a place where my father has been very happy. We would recommend this to any senior that wants to utilize independent living as my dad has, and the only issue is he’ll never want to leave there — Which is not really an issue!
