Looking for a place for an elderly parent (especially one with complex medical issues) is emotional and exhausting. I just had to give a shout out to Belmont Village at Green Hills. Not only is the facility beautiful and spotless, Elizabeth on their team has been beyond amazing!! I think because she started as one of the caregivers, she really understands dementia, PT/OT, the different levels of care that the residents need (eg., the Circle of Friends designed by people who understand dementia). As compared to other facilities, instead of high-pressure tactics, I felt like Belmont Village holds the family's hand through the transition. I don't normally do this type of post, but wanted to share my experience with others dealing with this challenge!
