Alam and Selene were wonderful hosts for Easter weekend! It was such a great event! Lots of Easter eggs were hidden and when the kids would take them they would place more eggs. The Easter bunny was also there!!đ

My husband & I moved to pagosa a year & a half ago with my mom & she & I volunteered at Beehive for about a year & found it to be a wonderfully âhomeyâ place. The staff was always friendly & welcoming, and we could observe how well they treated their residents⊠more like family than âpatientsâ. As it happened, mom took a fall & broke many bones in August, so we decided at 91, she shouldnât do stairs or be alone, and moved her into the Beehive of Pagosa. They were and are SO welcoming & accommodating, holding her room until she was out of rehab & once there, going out of their way to be helpful & loving to her. She never wanted to go to âa place for old peopleâ!!! But the smiles & loving care she receives daily from that staff helped her adjust in no time, sheâs made friends with the residents there & truly, the residents treat each other like âsistersâ & take care of each other! It warms my heart to walk in & see her playing games, watching movies or football, playing corn hole, getting silly pictures at Halloween to hang in the bulletin board, decorating Christmas cookies, getting a great haircut from a staff member!, and the list goes on. Once healed up, Iâm able to come & go with her, getting her to church or Bible study, come out to our house, her friends easily come in & out to see her as well or take her out to play gamesâŠ. And when we bring her back, they are always there with a welcome back smile ( I tease itâs like motel 6, âweâll leave the light on for youâ.) I have witnessed how quickly the staff responds to EVERYTHING from an odd sound or a thump & comes running to ensure their safety!!! Itâs a small environment ( 16 rooms, all facing in toward the big common den & dining) which allows them the ability to hear all that goes on & react⊠the residents have a lanyard with a button to call if they need help; but I donât find they need it bc the staff is so âon itâ, checking on each one all the time. Staff & residents are so familiar with each other, itâs truly a caring family over there. I wouldnât have my mom anyplace else. I know the cost is a setback for some; but call around, youâll find assisted living care IS expensive⊠I find that the quality of loving care given to my mom is worth the peace of mind to KNOW sheâs in a safe & clean HOME( did I mention how CLEAN it is?? Never an odor; only the smell of the next wonderful meal being prepared!!!). This is a special place with staff that loves what they do for this population; not just âa jobâ to them. I canât say enough GOOD about them!!!

The staff at the Bee Hive provided a wonderful home for my mother June Geisen. The staff was very attentive and provided care above and beyond what would normally be provided by an assisted living facility. Unfortunately some family and friends with hopefully good but clearly misguided intentions caused some issues for the staff during the last few days of my mothers life that may have caused some to have doubts about the level of care and caring afforded by the Bee Hive team. After spending a week at the facility including overnight stays I have nothing but the highest praise for the Bee Hive and staff.
