Barrington Terrace - Ft Myers

Words do not express how thankful I am for the care our family and resident member received from the staff. My initial call for information was handled by Mindy- who is very caring and helpful. I was impressed from that call on. You made my dad feel as if he was the most important person, even though he was not the resident. Katie- what a jem! I have never experienced another nurse in this type of setting who treated us as if we were the only family you were dealing with. Thank you for your patience- and taking our birthday card idea and running with it. Alexa- I know we asked lots of questions. If it wasn’t part of your department, you made sure it was given to the correct one. And all of those cards!!! ❤️ Knowing the birthday card activity for my dad is now an ongoing activity for others warms my heart. Tonya- watching you interact with the ones in your care shows how much you love what you do. We would notice a change, but you already noticed it and had something in place to meet that need. Thank you. Lisa- you are a blessing to all. We see how much you care for everyone as if they are your family. I am so very thankful for you. David- thank you for bringing all of these amazing women into this building, and allowing our family member to receive top-notch care from them and so many others. And to you, for always being available with your door open. The care received at Barrington of Ft Myers is unmatched.

My father is a resident at Barrington Terrace. The staff is caring and attentive and there is a real positive sense of community. He has benefitted greatly from working with his physical therapist, Brad Wilkins. Also, a big thank you to Fran and Claude for moving furniture and setting up a hospital bed for my mom who became a resident on 7/23. They dropped what they were doing to get the room setup for her.

Best choice we could have made! Wonderful staff, excellent care. The most respectful and caring staff always, willing to listen and help with any resources needed. You won’t find a better facility in Lee County.

My mom was at Barrington for two years before she passed away. Before here, we had a terrible experience at an assisted living so I was very picky and to be honest, very demanding that my mom received the best care possible. In two years there, we only ever had minor issues and they were so receptive to feedback and quickly addressed anything I brought up. The people here are amazing, caring, compassionate, so supportive and truly made my mom’s last two years the best they could be. I wish I could list everyone who had a positive impact on my mom and myself but there’s not enough room here. But there are a few who deserve special mention. Moe, the activities director, is the only one who ever could have gotten mom to participate in activities and have so much fun. She takes the time to know and love each of the residents and find something they enjoy and makes sure they get to do it. Truly one of the best humans I’ve ever known, with the biggest heart. Robyn, the night nurse, who gave us 8 more weeks with my mom because she was checking all night long on her and for being there in those final hours. Can’t say enough how much that meant. Tyanna, the nurse who my mom loved so much! Whenever mom wasn’t feeling good she always told me that she took the best care of her. Rowena, thank you for being a bundle of energy and caring so much about my mom. Your brightness helped so much in the final weeks. To everyone at Barrington, keep doing what you’re doing. To everyone looking for a good place for a parent or loved one, if your budget allows, you can’t go wrong here.

I toured Barrington Terrace anticipating placement in memory care for my husband. I was impressed by the level of care I witnessed with two levels of memory care for those who need more independence and those requiring a greater level of supervision. The best endorsement came from a gentleman who came to check on his wife. He said "stop looking, this the place you want.". I had seen his wife earlier and she was dancing to Michael Jackson songs with a smile on her face.
