Pass this place Please please pass this place by!!! Please don’t ask for a star! Barathaven has so many flags. They have bed 🐜 bugs. If you look back at past reviews they have had bedbugs for 4 years.. They need to fire the Administrator and Director of nursing. She told me a decoration on the door was racist because it had cotton balls. I wanted to say you have more problems. But I apologized and removed it. The administrator called me in his office because I ask for ice cream for my sister. My sister said they didn’t like her. He told me I wasn’t a staff member. They give a great sales pitch that they provide anything the residents want. My sister wanted chicken fingers when they brought it to her she couldn’t chew them they were so hard. Administrator called my niece and I troublemakers in front of staff and other residents. So unprofessional! I witnessed them putting two ladies in the back for over a hour. When I ask they said they were back there for baths. I witnessed them putting a lady that made mouth noises during bible study placed in the craft room along. My brother in law had to sign several times a form for me to have information on my sister. I live out of state. Administrator’s kept losing form. We feel my sister wasn’t given medication correctly. When her anxiety was so bad she fell and they sent her out. They fired there best nurse because she was honest with families. The kitchen staff didn’t wear mask preparing food during pandemic when I ask the kitchen cook he said give him a month he would have them trained. He called himself the chef! Lol I witnessed a nursing assistant scream to a resident to shut up because he needed help. She said she would get to him when she had time. She wore a blue Jean jacket. My sister is now at Glenfield they are a caring team of professionals. They love and care for our aging family. Pass Barathaven by please. If other families have had similar issues please report and say something please! Our loved ones deserve the best of care when they can’t speak up and take care of themselves!!! Pass this place by 🙏
