I moved my uncle here when he found out he was terminally ill. The facility is beautiful, the staff friendly & helpful, and the food good. The other residents were friendly & welcoming. Better yet, when he needed more care, staff worked with me to move him to skilled nursing within 24 hours. Shout out to staff member Andria Lyles who made us feel like family and always went out of her way to help us when we needed it - even when she wasn't working and even when she was away on vacation! Balfour made this challenging time as comfortable & manageable as possible.

I've had a chance to explore the Balfour Louisville campus and each building/community was beyond incredible. Happy hour was going on and it was so lively! The residents are so young spirited and engaged. The courtyards at every building are beautiful and so relaxing. When my parents are ready, Balfour Louisville will definitely be on my list for consideration.

Our experience touring Balfour at Louisville was incredibly positive. From the moment we arrived, the staff was welcoming and friendly. They greeted my mom by name, which made her feel immediately seen and valued. We had the opportunity to join lunch during our visit, and the food was genuinely good—fresh, well-prepared, and nicely presented. Throughout the tour, we spoke with several residents who openly shared how much they enjoy living there. It was clear that they truly see Balfour as their home, not just a place to stay. The sense of community stood out the most. The residents spoke highly of the amenities and the activities offered, and you could tell they were happy and engaged. Overall, Balfour at Louisville left us with a great impression of a warm, caring, and vibrant independent living community.

Balfour in Louisville has been a real lifesaver for us. We desperately needed the ability to try out this lifestyle while my husband re-cooperated from brain surgery. Thankfully, he has recovered to the point that we can continue caring for him in our own home. However, the services and the compassion provided by the staff and ownership here will be something we look forward to coming back to when we move to another stage of aging. McKenna, Kara and all the staff are professional, caring and always pleasant to work with. And, the food is surprisingly delicious! Thank you to all that work here at Balfour in Louisville. We will be forever grateful to you! Kouri and Jim

Thank you, staff and management of Balfour for the beautiful Lady of Guadalupe dance today. It was exciting to have this cultural event on site. The dancers included Balfour staff and community dancers. The dresses, head pieces, drumming and dancing were lovely. I was touched when dancers thanked residents for "welcoming us to your home". Residents beamed and nodded, as they were hosting these talented dancers. One suggestion to Balfour management and organizers: next year, please have a short written explanation of the dance, symbols, etc. to give residents more background on this tradition. After the dance, residents gathered to discuss the event and reminisce about other cultures they encountered during past adventures. Thank you for planning this lovely event. I hope it becomes an annual event.
