Atria Santa Clarita

We moved Mom from Atria Camarillo Assisted Living which was a beautiful facility to Atria Santa Clarita Memory Care. When I took the tour of Atria SC i noticed that the Memory Care building was run down and it smelled bad. I had a ton of initial questions and come to find out they lied about the majority of it. Typical sales! At the time we really didnt have much choice but to move Mom there. Our overall experience there was bad and I feel others need to know what our experience was in order to make an informed decision. The only good part was when Tracy, the new ED started towards the end of our stay, she was very helpful and did the best she could. Yes the price at Atria SC is less than other places, but you get what you pay for. I would not want to live there and felt horrible that we couldnt get my Mom moved sooner. We had a camera in Mom's room which brought a lot of insight. I suggest doing that so you can see what is really going on; we saw lack of help from the staff, Mom was left for hours when they told us they were checking on her. They didnt clean her room consistently, they didnt supply basics like toilet paper. Her clothes and sheets got mixed up with others and her laundry wasnt done on a regular weekly basis like they told us it would. I was taking her things home and washing them for her. The staff made the residence go into the Activity room for the majority of the day through to bed time The residence were bored just sitting around most of the time, falling asleep and the smell continued to be bad every time id go to visit. I had to cover my nose it was so bad. I mentioned to many of the people working there but it never go any better. We were on a wait list for another facility and finally got the call and moved her out about 3 months after she moved in. Please do your homework and go with your gut instinct. You have to advocate for your loved one. If you wouldn't want to live there, don't place your loved one there.

As a caregiver service provider, we have had the opportunity to support many Atria residents who require additional one-on-one or private care. We have consistently seen the staff’s dedication to ensuring every resident receives the attention, support, and quality of life they deserve. They provide meaningful activities and engagement opportunities that help residents stay active and connected with each other. The community here is well-maintained, located in a safe area and focused on creating a comfortable and supportive environment. I highly recommend Atria to anyone looking for a welcoming and caring senior living community in Santa Clarita. It is a place where residents are treated with dignity, respect and genuine love.

I recently visited Atria Santa Clarita and was highly impressed with the place. The staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring toward the residents as if they were family. My family and I have been very stressed about finding the right home to care for our Grandmother but Atria helped us feel confident that we made the right decision🩷

I have really enjoyed the community at Atria of Santa Clarita. The setting, activities and staff are all highlights.
