I have always been a very independent person. I lived in my own home until 2024. I then moved in to my son’s home. Though, they took excellently care of me, I was living in their home. To my surprise, when I moved in to Atria, my studio feels like my home. I feel more independent than I did living in someone else’s home. In retrospect I think I should have moved directly in to Atria when I sold my home.

I have only lived here for about 9 months and have actually enjoyed it. It certainly beats living alone and having to shop for food and cooking it. Tie Chi has done wonders for my arthritic back, the staff is always very helpful and in fact their example has caused me to look for anyone who appears to be having trouble with something and to try to help them as much as I can. I am quite thankful to have found this place.

Atria Crossroads is the perfect place for my mom. She has been there a year and I believe it’s been her best year in over a decade. It was hard for my father to meet her needs at their home. When he passed I brought her from Delaware to Connecticut to be closer to me. All of her needs are met here. She has a welcoming community that she is an active member of. She has made so many friends. She enjoys socialization, music and activities. She absolutely loves the food and tells me this every time I visit. The situation with my parents a year ago was stressful. Atria relieved the stress and provided a very soft place to land. I am very grateful for this caring community. The staff are so professional, knowledgeable and excellent at dealing with the needs of the elderly residents who live there. I highly recommend this community.
