I have had many experiences with assistive living care in private homes. I placed my mother, mother in law and father in law into private homes. The care my father in law received at At Home on Cholla was by far support to the others. Mariela, the owner, is a very hands on owner and an experienced nurse. She made sure that all of his needs, both physically, mentally and emotionally were met. They made him special food, helped him daily figure ot his tv, gentle on bathing and toileting. He had a bell and they were there quickly when he rang. My family is very proactive and we visited multiple times a day and he was always clean, fed, tv on his favorite show, dressed and out of bed. When was taking his last breaths, Mariela was there supporting the family. It was a wonderful experience.
