My dad was a resident here and had such a wonderful experience! The house was full of energy and the staff was so loving. It truly was a ‘home’. Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a loved one!

I originally placed my dad in an assisted living community and he fell right away and it was a mess with the care they provided and he did not like the place. He would just sit in his room until meal time which he did not enjoy. The care staff at Assurred and their management is soo much better and my dad is adjusting beautifully! He lives that it is a house and takes advantage of their beautiful sunroom and they attend to his needs completely. The staff showered him his first day there!! He’s been shaved and met other residents immediately! He also enjoys eating in the kitchen/dining room combination area much more than going down to just the dining room 3 times a day. Assurred can just easily get to know him as there are only 8 residents. He is very busy throughout the day, does get a nap when he’s tired. He has stopped asking me to pick him up and bring him to my house for dinner. The staff sends me pictures of him doing various activities or just relaxing in the sun, several times a day so I have the peace of mind that a daughter needs to know that he is safe, happy and very well cared for! Thank you Assurred! I want to give a special shout out to Noel, the House Manager, Charly and Mimi. They are all wonderfully compassionate and competent care providers. All of the staff at the Portland house is excellent!

Our mom lives here for 4 years. The staff is exceptional. They treated her with respect and love. She was able to stay here until the end. The caregivers were attentive to her as well as to us. They have fun outings that the family can participate in. I would recommend this location to anyone that has a need for an assisted living home for a loved one. Marilyn Janczy
