Making the choice to find help for your loved one is one of the hardest decisions for both the family member needing assistance and the family. We looked at several companies and after talking to several and seeing their facilities, we were depressed to say the least. We then talked to and toured Assured Assisted Living’s home and we were so impressed with the owner and several members of their staff. They spent as much time as was needed to insure our family member felt welcomed and safe. Now that they have been there for a few weeks, see are so happy that we found AAL. Through their web portal, we see all the activities and therapy they are receiving. Including their meals. It’s very comforting to have this option, so that we aren’t constantly checking in with our family member and disrupting their day. Of course we can call anytime, to speak directly to them and the support staff. We can also reach out on the web portal. We are welcomed to come to the home anytime to visit. Our family member has a much better quality of life and is keeping active and involved through their day. All of their therapy needs come directly to the home, thanks to Optimal Home care, and the AAL staff working with our family member daily on all of their therapy exercises. We feel great that our family member will be able to reach their full potential thanks to everyone at AAL and Optimal. Our heart felt thanks to you all. The Reid Family

Beware that they will charge you an extra month of rent when your loved one passes - since you didn't give them 30 days' notice. Even though they have plenty of beds/rooms available.. And even though they know death is imminent and they can share this information with you ahead of time to give the notice. Caregivers there are great! Thank you for your response. You gave me a "refund" for the days of the month that I paid for and mom had died and obviously not living there anymore. You however kept the $5600 security deposit because I didn't give 30 days' notice. I understand you have the legal authority to do this, but the right thing to do is to remind family members that they have to give 30 days' notice when clearly their loved one is on their deathbed. No need to respond again and continue to justify the additional charge of $5600.

When my grandmother fell down the basement stairs and eventually had to have emergency surgery, our family was at a loss trying to figure out where to place her for the rehabilitation process. To keep her at a nursing home facility was too costly and would eventually wipe out my grandparents retirement funds within the year. Finding Assured Assisted Living was our saving grace. The facility is always clean, with wonderful staff who interact with their residents. Activities are coordinated to keep residents busy during the day and they even serve home cooked meals daily. This wasn't a nursing home environment, it has a home environment feel to it which helps residents feel comfortable and feel like they belong. The staff are able to coordinate medications, doctors, transportation to appointments, physical therapy etc... and are always willing to answer any questions our family had during this process. We received all of this and at a reasonable price my grandparents could afford. If it was not for Assured and all of their staff, my family and I would have had to make some very difficult decisions regarding our parents/grandparents future and finances. With all of their help I can happily announce that my grandmother was able to rehab and will be coming home within the next few weeks. I would recommend this facility to anyone looking for a wonderful home to place their family member into in their time of need.
