I see my review was removed but I will like to bring to those that are considering this place please do your loved one a favor and look elsewhere. My dad was here a year ago and like the other reviewer stated he too lost weight because he wasn’t fed or the food wasn’t properly cooked wasn’t given fresh water either. He used a water bottle that he brought with him and it was never cleaned but yet he was to drink it. He became very ill was admitted to ER and later passed away in about a month he also lost over 30 lbs in just a month stay. I don’t think my review will stay posted but I will continue to post to let people beware. Notice how few of reviews they have also maybe because they are being removed. Let the truth be told not a safe place dishonest staff leadership. So sad will never be forgotten

Cardan Manor Assisted Living is one more f the best places to place your parents. It feels like home.

I have been helping families find assisted living homes and communities for over 10 years. I think Cardan Manor is a special place. The caregiver to resident ratio is better than almost any other place I am aware of and their staff truly care about their residents. I have been in a lot of assisted living homes and would recommend them! I had a client move his parents into their home back in June. The caregivers love his parents and he thinks they are a blessing.

My Mom was at Cardan Manor for 6 months. She had been diagnosed with dementia and was at the moderate stages when she was admitted to their Killarney facility. The first few months were fine, even during Covid we were able to have socially distanced outdoor visits with masks, weather permitting. My mom gained weight and looked healthy. I did notice when I was able to visit that there were up to 8 elderly being cared for with only one very petite caretaker. Initially we were told that there would be at least 2 caretakers there during the day and no more than about 6 residents at the facility. Things seemed fine so I did not press the issue. When Colorado went into a second lock down early December of 2020 we were no longer allowed any visitation other than through a window or by phone. We were not able to do either because my mom is mostly blind and extremely hard of hearing. I did try to call to check on my mom or try and communicate with her and with the exception of a couple times I was told my mom was sleeping. A lot of the time I felt like I was a bother to the caretaker when I called to check in, at times they were short with me or just rude. Late February we decided to take my mom back to her home and care for her. She visited her doctor the day she left Cardan Manor. The doctor noted that she had lost at least 30 pounds. She had sores all over her body, some were very infected. She also had a few unexplained bruises, one on her forehead. My mom only lasted a month after leaving Cardan Manor. While I can't say if my mom's condition was caused by neglect at Cardan Manor, I can say that they did not make us aware of any health problems that needed attention. To make matters worse after my mom had passed I received a call from the owner offering condolences, I told her that my mom lost 30 pounds over the last 2 months and she had no idea that she had lost so much weight. She is either the biggest liar on the planet or she has no idea what is going on within her facilities. The price here is cheaper than most but please think twice before placing your loved one in the care of the people at Cardan Manor.

My wife and I were very impressed with this home as well as another home we were shown. (Ignore the google street view - quite deceiving) This home was extremely clean, tastefully updated, and well decorated, it even smelled like Christmas! I was shocked and surprised at how nice it was on the inside all the way down to the granite countertops in the kitchen. The backyard was very large and the covered deck would be a great place for any resident to relax in the outdoors. Carol Cardan gave us the tour and is obviously a person of compassion, which was the same impression we had of the staff. Everything seemed in order and well managed.
