Arden Courts of Richardson

I had my mom at Arden for 2.5 years. She has Frontotemporal-Type dementia (never formally diagnosed) and the staff was unable to effectively care for my mom. My mom chose to isolate in her room, not shower often, rarely change her clothes, and they let her do all these things. I was convinced that my mom couldn’t be helped and that I just had accept that she was difficult…the staff (including the director) pretty much agreed! He told me that they would keep her room open for a short time, as she may not have been successful at the new place. Several of the staff were nice enough, but there was a lack of training (for more challenging residents), that I didn’t realize before. My mom has since been moved to a much more qualified place and it is so much better for her. Night and day difference, and I am very thankful that we changed places. My mom participates daily- evening reading to residents (he favorite activity), changes clothes, and showers often. They still allow my Mom her downtime in her room at time, but I love that she is involved and cared for adequately.

Transitioning a loved one into long term care is challenging in itself. The staff at Arden Courts have been incredible helping my mother transition to her new home. The staff steps up and assists with all of her needs. I had a very short window of time to get my mother moved into her new facility. The staff exceeded my expectations and the transition was seamless. I feel secure my mother is getting the care she deserves. Her days are filled with activities she enjoys which has makes her happy. We are thankful we found Arden Courts.

My wife moved into this community and adjusted right away. She enjoys all activities.. I feel good going home knowing she is very well taken care of. This community is a family orientated place. Highly recommend

I can’t recommend Arden Courts enough. The staff is AMAZING at what they do. We had an extremely difficult time finding a facility that fit my mom’s needs due to some difficult behaviors her dementia caused her to have. This facility checked all of the boxes and made a difficult transition smoother than we could’ve ever hoped for. I have no doubt my mother is getting the very best care.

Both of my parents have lived in Arden Courts. I feel as if they are part of a family and are loved.
