I had a fantastic visit and tour at Arbor Terrace. I met with their Sales Director Destine who was great. She was thorough in covering their program and what makes them different. As we toured it was easy to notice how she openly engaged with everyone she saw - by name, with smiles and hugs. I also met Rupi the Executive Director who I had already spoke with on the phone. She was amazing as well. Their culture shines through and is clearly the best I have seen. Lastly, their Bridges program is exactly what my brother needs. I am confidently moving forward with Arbor Terrace as a future home for him.

I am writing to express grave concerns regarding the safety, security, and operational standards observed within the facility, particularly concerning residents requiring memory care. The documented instances of negligence and security breaches are alarming and warrant immediate, comprehensive investigation and corrective action. A recurring and deeply troubling issue is the repeated unsupervised departure of residents from the building, with some remaining unaccounted for extended periods before their absence is even noted. One particularly egregious case involved a memory care resident who, on multiple occasions, managed to elude staff. Disturbingly, she reportedly accepted rides from strangers who drove her to her former residence, leaving her unmonitored and vulnerable. A more recent incident underscores the critical lapse in security protocols and staff accountability. On a new resident's very first day in memory care, she was reportedly allowed to exit the secure unit by a maintenance employee who failed to ensure the door was properly secured. As she approached the main entrance, the Business Office Director then reportedly opened the door for her, permitting her to leave the premises without any verification of her residency or intent. It is profoundly concerning that a director-level staff member would facilitate the unsupervised departure of a new memory care resident, a population requiring the highest level of vigilance. Subsequent review of surveillance footage reportedly confirmed this oversight, with the Business Office Director acknowledging her role in the incident with a demeanor that suggested a lack of professional gravity or accountability. Such actions, coupled with the apparent double standard regarding disciplinary consequences compared to other staff members, are entirely unacceptable. These internal failures are compounded by significant external safety hazards. The surrounding area presents a demonstrable risk to residents. There have been multiple documented instances of serious criminal activity in the immediate vicinity, including robberies at nearby establishments like Taco Bell, a bank, and Walgreens, as well as a fatal shooting incident at the 7-Eleven directly across the street. Furthermore, homeless individuals are frequently observed inhabiting wooded areas adjacent to the property and traversing the facility grounds, raising additional security and welfare concerns, especially for residents prone to wandering. Indeed, some residents who have left the facility unsupervised have reportedly been found in unsafe areas, such as behind the local Costco. Compounding these issues are critical internal security deficiencies. The back entrance to the facility is reportedly routinely left unsecured, either unlocked or fully open, which facilitates unauthorized entry and provides an easy exit point for residents. Furthermore, concerns have been raised regarding the facility's reluctance to invest in essential safety infrastructure, specifically citing cost as a barrier to repairing or upgrading critical surveillance camera systems. This apparent disregard for fundamental security measures is deeply alarming. In light of these severe and persistent failures in resident supervision, inadequate facility security, and the high-risk external environment, the current operational standards place residents, particularly those requiring specialized memory care, at an unacceptable level of risk. Immediate and comprehensive measures are urgently needed.
