I am still living with the heartbreak of losing my husband by moving him to Ponte Vedra Gardens. After four weeks, he was taken by ambulance to the hospital where he was diagnosed with pneumonia and severe dehydration. After being charged an additional $700 a day because the staff considered him a flight risk, I decided to spend the night there myself. He never once attempted to leave his bed, much less his room. When no one ever came to take him to breakfast the next morning, I was told “we don’t wake them if they are asleep”. After my husband left PVG, not a single staff member ever reached out to inquire. If you are considering PVG, please keep your eyes on your loved one, and question the additional expenses. There is a staff shortage and turnover rate which made this tragically a dangerous place for my husband.

Response from the owner

Marianne, thank you for sharing your feedback. We understand how difficult it is to navigate the progression of memory loss and the complex health challenges that often accompany it. Our team is committed to providing compassionate care and support to residents and their families, and we work closely with healthcare providers to address each resident's evolving needs. Because resident privacy is important, we cannot discuss specific circumstances in a public forum. We take all feedback seriously and continuously strive to provide a safe, supportive environment for those entrusted to our care. We wish you and your family comfort and peace.

Only been here through agency. But I must commend this facility staffing. It's like they carefully handpicked their workers. They are such team players and so nice to each other and the residents. I've never been at a facility before that made me feel like I was apart of their team like this one. Even the lady at the front desk is super nice and helpful and welcoming. This is the kind of work environment that everyone should be able to work in. Keep doing what you're doing to make this place great for seniors.

What a blessing PVG has been for my mother the past 2.5 years! She is well cared for and the amazing activity director, Dee, keeps her and the other residents engaged and active with high quality, creative activities and events. My mom loves to be able to go on the wonderful outings to the beach, cat cafe, ice cream shop and more. I know it takes care and planning as well as partnerships with local businesses to make this possible. I am beyond grateful that my mom is treated with the kindness and dignity she deserves.
