ARBOR AT BERKELEY

The kind folks at the Arbor took such great care of my dad- he really loved it there. I was worried that when he had to finally go into memory care that he would get depressed. Just the opposite happened. He brightened up and became the life of the party, flirting with the staff who were all incredibly warm, kind, and patient with him. I would especially like to thank Linda, Barbara, Juliana, and Shylyn who treated him like family, Maurine who supervised his great care and Aryanna who took the stress of dealing with the insurance company off our hands. Thank you all so much!

We were rushing to find an assisted living community for my father following his stroke, and wanted a place where we knew he'd be well cared for, but also encouraged and supported in his recovery and continued independence. I was thrilled to find Elegance, an absolutely lovely community in a fabulous part of Berkeley. They made the transition and move-in so smooth for us, and my dad felt not just welcomed, but embraced. The staff is fantastic, the physical space is wonderful and the food is excellent. They have worked closely with us to smooth out any bumps and have been super helpful as we navigate this new life for my dad. Best of all, my own kids LOVE spending time there with grandpa, because Elegance is comfortable and friendly (the staff gives them ice cream nearly every time :). My favorite part is the Art Room, which residents and visitors get to use anytime they like.

Thank you Elegance Berkeley! My grandmother was in another community much farther away and in-and-out of skilled nursing. We wanted to move her closer to me and fast because she was declining rapidly due to isolation. That's when we found Elegance. Molly Gleason-Kodama, the Marketing Director, went above and beyond to tour me, keep in constant contact, and get things moving. She got her Executive Director, Robert Coe, involved with the skilled nursing facility so we could expedite the paperwork needed. Molly and Robert made what could have been a very difficult process so seamless for our family. We appreciate all of their efforts and highly recommend this community to others. It is physically very beautiful and has a great vibe. The staff are very dedicated, knowledgeable, and kind. Grandma has been there about a month now and she is so happy and doing much better. She loves her room, the activities, and we are so relieved! Thank you, Elegance Berkeley!

My parent and I had been looking for the right community in the Berkeley area for a while when we finally found the folks at Elegance. After touring the beautiful new building and meeting the leadership team, my parent decided that it was a great fit and was one of the first to move in. She has an amazing view of the San Francisco skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. The entire staff is extremely friendly and helpful to our entire family. Thanks to their patience and persistence, my parent is starting to get more involved in classes and other group activities, something she's shied away from in recent years. Other highlights at Elegance Berkeley are regular live music with local bands, social events for the entire family, and really excellent food.
