I would like to give this place a minus 10 rating. When we brought my husband there in March 2025 we signed a two year contract for the monthly care. In January 2026 they went to a "level of care rating" and wanted to add over a thousand dollars to the monthly care. THEN......they basically evicted him and gave us 30 days to get him out!!!!! He was no where near the top of the care scale so that wasn't a reason and no explanation was ever offered. STAY. AWAY.,.....................

The one star is for the hands-on staff there, who were lovely and deserve to work for better people who value their hard work, but regarding the office staff who handles the money and contract agreements. They were absolutely the worst kind of greedy people. We moved my father in there in March of 2025 with a written agreement of a locked in price until January 2027. In the beginning of January 2026, my mother, who like a lot of senior citizens, lives on a fixed income received a letter from Antebellum saying they were shifting to a tiered care pricing system. This price was a 75% increase to the price originally quoted!!!! When we said we would not be able to pay that and asked for them to honor the signed contract price, they issued a 30 day eviction notice, stating that all of a sudden, they could not accommodate dad’s needs which has decreased since we first brought him there. We had him relocated within 3 weeks of that notice. After he moved, they tried to bill my mother for the full 30 days even though THEY told US he had to be gone in 30 days & we complied!! We will be following up with the Better Business Bureau as well as any and all possible venues for this heinous and greedy treatment of the elderly. ‼️‼️EDIT TO ADD RESPONSE TO RESPONSE FROM OWNER: ‼️ The claim that “we offered to assist your family to find something that was more suitable to your financial needs, but that assistance was declined.” Is an absolute and complete L I E. Absolutely ZERO assistance to move him was EVER offered from ANYONE at Antebellum. The other claim made: “We did not extend billing beyond the days that your father occupied the apartment and maintained his charge at the previous rate until a transfer could occur in hopes to assist your family with your financial hardship.” is also completely false. They tried to bill my mother for more but thankfully, the very day we got him out of there, she went into the bank to make sure they would be unsuccessful as she had been paying via auto draft. Nor did they honor a prorated refund for the days paid for that he wasn’t even THERE any more.

Thank you for sharing your detailed feedback. It’s clear how much effort you put into advocating for your father, and we understand how upsetting it must have been to navigate changes in pricing and care arrangements. We appreciate your kind words about our hands-on staff and will be sure to share your positive remarks with them. Your concerns regarding communication and administrative processes will be shared with our leadership team, as we are always seeking to improve the experience for residents and their families. Unfortunately, change is hard and we understand that when we shifted to a different billing platform that this could cause concern however our intent was to ensure fair reimbursement for the level of care our residents were requiring and receiving. I cannot discuss the specific details of your Father, but we are aware, and when your family advised us that they would not be paying, we had no option but to advise you to find a more affordable option that met your financial needs before this increase was scheduled to occur. In addition, we offered to assist your family to find something that was more suitable to your financial needs, but that assistance was declined. We did not extend billing beyond the days that your father occupied the apartment and maintained his charge at the previous rate until a transfer could occur in hopes to assist your family with your financial hardship. We are sorry that it did not work out at our community, but we hope that your father is settling into his new home and will thrive in his new environment.

After extensive experience with senior living facilities, my mother and I can confidently say that Antebellum stands above the rest. The management and caregivers are exceptional, the food is the healthiest I’ve encountered, and the structural layout is the safest I’ve seen to date. The residents and caregivers truly feel like family. I highly recommend this facility.

My mom loves the facility, the staff have been amazing to care for her and let me know if any issues. I wish we had found Antebellum a couple of years ago when I first moved mom to GA. I feel she would have had a lot better life. We have been at Antebellum for a few months and it has been a blessing.

Response from the owner
