American House Town & Country

American house is a wonderful , caring place. My mother was a resident there, and received wonderful care. The place was a good fit for mom, she loved the movie theatre, activities, field trips and happy hour. The staff in the building called the residents by their name. So friendly. When she move to memory care, she was very well taken care of, happy , and the staff and memory care director were the best and very attentive, and met mom’s needs. A very safe place to be. Mom has since passed away, and I’m so glad the last 4 years of her life was spent at American House. I recommend this place.

Recently, I visited this facility with a friend who has a family member living there. It was beautiful! The staff is so nice and accommodating! Food is made by a talented chef, and everyone likes it! But I have to say that I was most impressed by the Admin/Management Staff, which made sure to greet us and answer any questions my friend and I had! I am very picky when it comes to customer care, and I was in awe, to say the least! Good job, American House, for hiring these folks!

My parents moved into American House during the 3rd quarter of 2025. They are on the Memory Care floor, which was a way for both of them to get the extra care and to live in the same apartment together. Mom took some time getting comfortable, and I credit Patrina, Director of Memory Care, and her staff welcoming my parents to AH, but especially with helping mom to adjust. When I first met Patrina, she gave me her cell phone number. I don’t want to abuse that privilege, but appreciate having that info if I need to reach someone. Patrina interacts with the residents and speaks to them with respect. Patrina included Mom in helping to come up with activities for the group. I have seen Patrina there late on Saturday and Sunday nights helping out when there is a staff shortage. I know she manages Memory Care well. She doesn’t just manage from her office, but pulls equal duty, when necessary. I feel both parents are being well taken care of, which is such a relief for me. There was one incident, though, that concerned me. I was out of town and could not reach my mom by phone. Also, I was not getting her blood sugar readings so considered that her phone may have powered off. This was somewhat of a medical concern, so I called and left a message for the Director of Nursing. I waited for some time. I then texted Patrina. Within minutes she followed up with me and I got a phone call from my mom. This is an example of how Patrina is there for the residents and their family members. To me that was going the extra mile, and I appreciated that.

Patrina Sims and Dave Patek go above and beyond to ensure residents receive high-quality care. The facility is immaculate, with beautifully decorated common areas and cozy private rooms.
