American House Grosse Pointe Cottage

Our family had a wonderful experience at American House Senior Living Community. My grandfather lived here, and the staff was always caring, attentive, and welcoming. The food was great, and it was clear the residents were well cared for. Britney and Leslee were especially wonderful—professional, compassionate, and always helpful. We’re very grateful for the care and support our family received.

Our relationship with American House at Cottage started the week before our first visit. While sitting in the park with Mom she suffered a health emergency. Heather, who we hadn’t met before, very kindly came to our assistance unsolicited. It was only afterwords that we found she was on staff there. Between our initial visit and mom’s move in date, mom had another health emergency which changed our plans somewhat. Christine handled the curve ball we threw her without hesitation and was instrumental in organizing mom’s transition to American House. Can’t say enough good things about every member of the staff here.

My mom spent 30 days there to rehab from a broken pelvis and take part in a multidisciplinary rehab with outside PT/OT after she spent 2 weeks in a Medicare approved facility- she was denied additional time so we paid private for this service! American House , the Director and most important the healthcare staff were fantastic! I can not say enough good things about this place - she is now home doing wonderfully. Family involvement is key ! Nice job AH Grosse Pointe !😊🙏🏼

My in-laws have spent the last year at AH Grosse Pointe. It is a wonderful facility. It is clean and friendly. The staff are extremely helpful and responsive. There is a workout facility, hair salon, foot care and medical care on site. This is the perfect place to transition from living at home, to independent living to assisted living. My father-in-law would remark, "these are my new friends". Moving to AH was the best decision we ever made!

I toured American House at Cottage in Grosse Pointe last week, and was pleasantly surprised by all the renovation work that had taken place over the past couple of years, along with the fantastic amenities. Both Christine Eugenio and Leslie (leadership there), were genuine, supportive and knew their community. Its was a great experience. The location is amazing (on the Hill in GP with lots of shops, restaurants and coffee options). I cannot recommend this senior living community more. The rooms are like little apartments and were immaculate! The staff was super friendly, even when they didn't know I was observing :)
