Helping your loved one decide where they want to live as they age is no easy task, but THIS place is GEM! Back in September my 78-year-old mom, who has been living independently for decades ended up with a broken left femur and right foot. YIKES! After acute rehab, she wasn't able to go back home (90 miles away) and be independent yet, but thankfully, my sister toured Addington Place of Roswell, and we loved it! And more importantly, so did our mom. The food is good - and nutritious! They offer meals in the room and in a communal dining area–and even options for guests. The place is impeccably clean and smells like an apartment building–NOT like a nursing home–recently remodeled with modern colors and patterns that look like a nice hotel room. In fact, my mom felt like she WAS living in a hotel, with laundry and housekeeping services, and an attentive and helpful staff who not only checked in on her but CARED about her. Their levels of care of comprehensive, and the staff worked with us to figure out what was needed. We were able to have PT + OT services come in to help her regain strength and mobility, and teach her how to navigate daily activities. The facility offers optional activities both as onsite classes and offsite guided trips to provide the social interaction and learning that we all need to thrive as we get older. The site is safe and centrally located, near other dining options where it was easy to take my mom out to enjoy time with our family. Plus, the communication from all their staff is top notch. The Executive Director Matt is experienced and transparent, and really took the time to help us navigate the best options for our mother's situation, staying in touch as that situation changed. And all the staff leaders onsite were competent and helpful, providing a safe and caring space for everyone involved. I can't say enough great things about Addington Place of Roswell. We are so grateful for all they've done to take what could have been a completely devastating time in our mother's life and turn it into a positive experience. If you are looking for a place to live or for someone you love, give them a call. You won't be disappointed!

Wow! I have been working with Communities for a few years in Georgia. Have seen and met the most wonderful people. Addington Place in Roswell is second to none. From the warm welcome and smiles from Ansa to all of the new team members there. Ms Kim and Ms Angela have done a wonderful service to the community. Memory care is absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough great things about what they have done. Bravo team Addington! I recommend this community to anyone looking for a home for a loved one

I moved my mother into Addington July 2023. She has mild dementia but does not need memory care yet, so I was able to stay with her for 3 days to show her around and help her acclimate to her new environment. During that time, I participated in meals, activities, walks, and medication administration; I interacted with the residents and staff (day and night) numerous times daily, and slept there overnight. Addington is beautiful and the staff was so friendly. My mother is in a little apartment with a small living room, kitchenette, patio, and separate bedroom for the same cost as studios at other facilities. The apartment setup feels way more like a little home which is so nice. The food was good and the place was quiet, clean, and relaxing. The indoor layout is simple and large enough for my mother to get her exercise walking inside which I really appreciate for safety. Most importantly, the staff and director are genuinely kind and caring people, I am so grateful for that as I don't worry about my mother at this facility. She is still happy 3 months later, no complaints. Sure there are bigger facilities with more activities, but those were intimidating for my mother and not a good fit for her, so Addington is the perfect balance- I'm so happy we moved her in, she is being so much more social in this environment!

Addington Place has deteriorated drastically in 2022 under new management. Insufficient care is provided. The staff is rude. Rooms are not cleaned or maintained. Medications are not delivered on schedule. Many times, staff does not answer emergency call buttons. Food is horrible. There is no activity director or nurse. The staff does not evaluate patient needs. Heating is insufficient in winter. Thermostats malfunction. My father suffers from chronic pain and has gone into opioid withdraw because medications were not delivered. My dad’s bedroom was flooded recently and nothing was done; my dad had to sleep on a chair in the living room because of wetness and mildew/mold. Earlier this year while my dad was hospitalized, food delivery continued for two weeks and was not removed, resulting in horrendous odor. My father fell; no one responded to the emergency call and residents found him 45 min later. When my dad was hospitalized recently because of an injury sustained in the facility, the doctor would not allow discharge to Addington Place, for fear of their safety.
